Judith is interested in the potential for interactions between Art and Science. She and partner Mike enthusiastically support the endeavors of the Perimeter Institute, Waterloo, Ontario. Eight of Judith's paintings have been accepted into the Perimeter Institute's art collection and installed in various venues within the Perimeter.

The Quesnel Art Gallery, Quesnel Arts Council, and Quesnel Downtown Business Association once again team up to present ART WALK 2021.Twenty six businesses are hosting twenty six artists! Downtown Quesnel is excited to be a part of a brand-new event in our downtown core! They have paired with the Quesnel & District Community Arts Council and the Quesnel Art Gallery to arrange an Art Walk through the downtown businesses.

Two Rivers Gallery’s permanent Collection is a diverse holding of artworks, in a range of media, produced in large part after the collection began in 1986. Numbering around 430 objects by about 140 artists, the collection embodies many different perspectives and worldviews. This exhibition draws on work by women in the collection honouring their contributions to contemporary art in Canada.

Judith's Geography X is among the selected works for Her Voice. This 60 x 48 inch acrylic painting is part of a series of works that explored person and place: at home and away. The Geographies series was exhibited in 2008 at Two Rivers Gallery Canfor Gallery.

The Quesnel Art Gallery and Gift Shop is officially open again for limited capacity with care filled guidelines! The new exhibit, Artists in Isolation, features local artists as a "jump-start to get them back into showing their work. Along with their art, the featured artists have written statements as to how the pandemic has affected their work and artistic process which will be displayed in the gallery", states Gallery Director Marguerite Hall.

Every piece of art created is influenced by the life and visual experience of the artist. Judith and Megan's works originated in recognition and appreciation of fourteen contemporary and historic artists they both admire and respect. The materials utilized in creating these works include oils, acrylics, resin, paper, digital processes, and gold leaf on canvas and hardboard. Judith will participate in eRacism: An International call to artists to explore the rise of racism as a political tool here in North America and beyond. It provides a wakeup call and platform for our community to come together to explore the realities and challenges of living in a pluralistic society. IMA is excited to again partner with Integris Credit Union, Savalas Steak House, Barkerville Brewing and Bench 1775 Winery to present this online & live Auction Fundraiser & Dinner at CNC College in Quesnel, BC.

The online auction runs until midnight on Friday, June 1, after that all the items will move to the live auction on Saturday, June the 2nd at the College of New Caledonia in Quesnel. If you can't attend the live auction: enter a proxy bid online up to the highest amount you are willing to go.

This fundraiser will help support all the programs that IMA delivers including the Toni Onley Artists’ Project, the International Harp School, the ArtsWells Festival of All Things Art, the exhibitions at the IMA Gallery and the new Artist-in-Residence program.

The 12th Environmental art exhibit in Prince George, B.C. will demonstrate the efficacy of art's capacity to bring attention to urgent environmental issues.

Judith joins her fellow members of Quesnel's eclectic group of Thursday Painters and their Invited Guests in an exploration of personal identity using different materials, methods,and perspectives.

The artists seek to answer the inquiry "Who Am I?" in new and interesting ways. Art works range from personal portrayals to the exploration of broader scenarios.

Visitors to the Quesnel Art Gallery will be challenged and delighted by the possibilities on exhibit.

Possibilities is exhibited at the WILLIAMS LAKE STATION HOUSE GALLERY in the main gallery.

Emerging from her fascination with the Earth in all its forms, Judith DesBrisay’s Possibilities series grew out of her South American experiences. The paintings are, however, based upon sketches made of the luxuriant growth in her Central Interior garden. The Possibilities paintings reflect Judith’s delight when she is immersed in “nature”, a joy made more intense by the imminent threats to its beauty.

The organic shapes of the Possibilites paintings, both monochromatic and vivid in hue, depict the forms, colours, and light ablaze in our lives. The paintings are a celebration of life!

Connor Kenney is exhibiting his "Woman Inside the Man" life sized sculptures in the upstairs gallery concurrent with Judith's paintings on display in the main gallery.

The Annual Live Art Auction on April 30, 2016 is the highlight event of the spring season. Witness cut-throat bidding wars as local collectors duel for a piece of fine art before the bang of the auctioneer's gavel announces the winner! Tickets are available at the gallery or online. Judith is among repeat contributors for this fund raising gallery event.

Quesnel Middle and Secondary schools present a group exhibit of their latest student works. A silent auction of small works by Gallery members and students will be part of the exhibit.

This is the 11th annual exhibition of works wherein artists respond to environmental issues. The 2016 title invites interpretation of “lost nature, human habits or occupations, activities, etc.” Organizer, Jovanka Djordjevich states "As always, consider the medium and the size as part of the message". Opening celebration: Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 7 p.m.

Canadian artist Judith DesBrisay exhibited Polar Perceptions, to complement the University of the Arctic Council meetings and the eighth International Congress of Social Sciences (ICASS VIII) at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in the city of Prince George, B.C.

WHO WILL LISTEN TO OUR STORIES? May 3- June 22, 2013
This post is about an important art exhibit "Who Will Listen to Our Stories?" which revolves around an extensive selection of wonderful art works by Sylvia Regehr Graham : Quesnel artist, forester and friend.
Sylvia's sister, Dorothy, has worked with Bill Graham, Sylvia's husband, and other friends plus key persons in Winnipeg to present the exhibit: opening May 3, 2013. The exhibit [May 3 until June 22, 2013] will include art works created by participants of the Art Therapy Program at Cancer Care Manitoba. It will be presented at the Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery.

Judith states, "In Perspectives I seek to portray the beauty and the diversity of arctic life and landscape. I hope the works will prompt viewers to acknowledge the Arctic’s quintessential fragility and strength as well as the serious pressures evident in polar regions. The viewer, who brings his /her own perspectives to these art works, will surely consider joining with others, world-wide, to protect and enhance the delicate balance of life".

Judith DesBrisay, Brent Bukowski and Destanne Norris, have been independently creating art works that explore themes relating to water conservation and global warming. Penticton Art Gallery curator, Paul Crawford, recognized the common threads in these works and invited the threesome to present an eclectic exhibit, Ebb & Flow, at the vibrant Okanagan gallery.
